Fixx it\’s not good enough simply to know it\’s there and that it works. If we have an image on the edge of the document, most printers require that.

I had exactly the same problem yesterday. Setting an A6 Artboard plus 3mm bleed was dseigner nothing. So the workaround was to add the 3mm bleed to document size xmm becomes xmm and placing helplines 6mm instead of 3mm safety distance. The workaround you mention is exactly the one I chose, too. But the problem remains that if you do so you won\’t get proper cropmarks, should you need them, as the document format now including bleed is no longer that of the cropped finished product So the solution seems to be — for now — to set up the document not using an artboard at all thus limiting yourself to just on page.

With me this at least got me back my crop viea while exporting. Not being afrinity able to see what\’s in that area while working on the file remains highly annoying, though. Yes when using the Full A4 size as your print area and sending off to a printer that is printing on slightly larger than A4 paper.. If you need the crop marks or other printer marks visible on the A4 page yes, you have to reduce the document size a little more otherwise they will not be visible since we place them outside the bleed area. This will print on a A4 sheet with crop marks. Page to print on A4. As a side question, when I printed my own document and set the affinity dialogue to print bleed, nothing showed on the print-out despite my bleed being well within the A4 page at mm width 30 mm from the edge.
