Trying to install Win 10 but it gets hung up due to the report stating I need to uninstall Office starter I\’ve uninstalled the file but still will not install due to wanting office starter removed. I\’ve used cleaners to clean registry etc to no avail.

Fixit doesn\’t list Office starter so that doesn\’t work. Launch Revo uninstaller after installing, select the program you want to uninstall or search for it using the built in search tool. This will start the uninstallation wizard for the particular program you selected.

Revo uninstaller will go through a series of steps which include creating a system restore point, creating a backup of your Windows registry. Then analyze the program and run its default uninstaller, click Yes when you see the above dialog. After the uninstall is completed, you have a choice of scanning modes to select from.

What this will do is let you scan for any left over files, folders and registry items from that particular program. Safe looks in the usual places, moderate in more advanced locations while Advanced does a thorough search throughout the entire computer. After selecting your choice, I went with Advanced , click Scan. After the scan is complete, you will see a list of registry entries left behind by the program, select them then click Finish to thoroughly remove the program from your system.

The default uninstaller should work for most persons, but for those troublesome programs, the Force Uninstall feature and advanced scanning options will give you more control. Threats include any threat of suicide, violence, or harm to another. Any content of an adult theme or inappropriate to a community web site. Any image, link, or discussion of nudity. Any behavior that is insulting, rude, vulgar, desecrating, or showing disrespect. Any behavior that appears to violate End user license agreements, including providing product keys or links to pirated software.

Unsolicited bulk mail or bulk advertising. Any link to or advocacy of virus, spyware, malware, or phishing sites. Any other inappropriate content or behavior as defined by the Terms of Use or Code of Conduct. Any image, link, or discussion related to child pornography, child nudity, or other child abuse or exploitation.

I thought of downloading and installing Office starter then letting Revo do it\’s thing but I couldn\’t find Office starter to download. What I did was did a system restore to bring back Office starter so I could use Revo. I then downloaded Revo Pro again and uninstalled the file and all traces. I did a clean boot as per your recommendation then tried the install. It came back that Office Starter needed to be uninstalled again. Would this have something to do with preventing the update?

Is there some way of updating this report? I have been trying to do a back up but after 12 hours it wasn\’t even half done. Doesn\’t sound right to me. I\’ve cancelled it for the time being as I might see how I go just backing up select folders. Also I want to find the product key. Office Starter Word and Excel only were pre-loaded when I purchased my laptop several years ago. Recently I have been unable to open Word and Excel microsoft office starter 2010 for windows 10 attached to emails.

I read I could get over this problem by uninstalling and reinstalling Office Starter I have deleted Office Starter and would like to reinstall it.
